Ray Wayne Presley, 83, of Hope, Arkansas passed away with his daughters and sons-in-law by his side on Monday, June 15, 2020 at Post-Acute Medical Specialty Hospital in Texarkana, Texas.

Ray “Wayne” was born March 6, 1937 in Harrisburg, Arkansas. He was a longtime member of Patmos Baptist Church and a current member of New Hope Baptist Church in Hope. He was a retired helicopter mechanic and spent most of his career on offshore oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He enjoyed the outdoors spending time hunting and gardening.

Wayne was preceded in death by his mother Floy Presley Mackie and stepfather Angus Mackie; wife of 37 years, Donna V. Presley and grandson Seth Watson Garcia.

Ray is survived by his daughters, Radonna Attebery (Stephen) of Magnolia; Radeanna Garcia (Andy) of Bryant; grandchildren, Ryan, Elizabeth, Emma Attebery, Nathan, Aaron, Benjamin and Samuel Garcia of Bryant as well as a host of extended family and friends.

A very special thank you goes to all the health care providers and employees at Hope Haven Assisted Living Center and the Hope Dialysis Center for all the great care and friendship provided to Ray over the last few years.

Mr. Presley will lie in state Friday, June 19, 2020 from 8:00am to 5:00pm at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home Hope.

Graveside service 2:00pm Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Hope, AR. Bro. Lyndell Chaffin and Bro. Larry Byers will officiate under the direction Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearers are his grandsons; Ryan Attebery, Nathan Garcia, Aaron Garcia, Ben Garcia and Sam Garcia.
