Rev.  Charles Bryant

Rev.  Charles Bryant was born September 24,1920 in a Community called “Sunny South” in Marshall, Texas to the late Charlie Bryant & Bessie Fields Murphy. He was the third born and only son from this union. He departed life On October 3, 2020 peacefully at his home.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Bryant and Bessie F. Bryant-Murphy; four sisters, Irene Bryant, Lucille Littleton, Earnestine Williams and Mary Lee; and stepdaughter, Beatrice Graham.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 33 Years, Joyce M.Bryant; one daughter- Louradell Bryant of Texarkana, TX;  two sons- John Sharp of Hope, AR and Corey (Bridget) Lourdermill of Texarkana, TX; son-in-Law -Earnest Graham of Kansas City, MO; one sister- Thelma Fletcher of Texarkana, TX; one brother- Jack O’ Bryant of San Antonio, TX; brother-in-law- Willie (Dora) Battee, Jr. of Tollette, AR; Partners In Crime/GrandKids, Kyler & Layken; fourteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two great, great grandchildren; very special friends – Rev. & Mrs. Jessie L. Radford and family.

Visitation for Rev. Charles Bryant will be 11am-4pm Friday at the funeral home.  A wake will be 5-7pm Friday at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 3026 South Lake Drive, Texarkana, Texas.  Funeral service will be 2:30 Saturday at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 5803 Jefferson St. Texarkana, AR.  Burial will be at Red Springs Cemetery in Texarkana.  Arrangements entrusted to Hicks Funeral Home.
