Ronnie Miller

Ronald E “Ronnie” Miller of Hope, Arkansas, age 75, passed away in Texarkana, Texas on Thursday, July 11. He was born on April 16, 1949 to Haley and Mabel Ellis Miller in Nevada County. Ronnie retired from Southern “Meyers” Bakery after 42 years. He worked 8 years for Shields Janitorial Services as a salesman.

Ronnie was a member of Garrett Memorial Baptist Church where he served as Deacon, Sunday School teacher, and sang with the Garrett Memorial Quartet. He served on the school board for Garrett Memorial Christian School. He coached junior and high school girls softball teams winning state for four consecutive. Ronnie served 16 years in The Army National Guard

He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing with his grandchildren, and playing men’s softball. He was inducted in the Southwest Arkansas Softball Hall of Fame in 2009.

Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents and his 2 brothers, Von and Lyle Miller.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years Belinda Ross Miller; his son and daughter-in-law Chris and Arielle Miller of Nevada County; and his daughter Sara Stanley of Nashville. He was blessed with 6 grandchildren: Alexa Harris ( Shane) Hope; Minka, Jayci, & Talon Stanley of Nashville, Landon Stanley of Pottsville; nephews Scot, Michael, and Brandon Miller of Nevada County, and niece Haley Cummings of Prescott; and many other relatives and friends.
