Roy D Byers, 80, of Hope went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 25, 2024, in Texarkana. 

Roy was born May 1, 1944, in Hope, AR to Olin and Rachel Gibson Byers.  He retired from Poulan (now Husqvarna) in Nashville and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

Mr. Byers was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers Charles Byers, Robert Byers, Marlin Byers, and Ronnie Byers.

Survivors include his son Jeff Byers (Melanie-Christi); his daughter Paula Byers-Laden (Jeffery); four grandchildren Javin Byers, Jaran Byers, Robert Schwartz, and Brandy Thompson-Phillips (Colton); four great grandchildren Logan, Xander, Bella, and Star; two brothers Carroll Byers and Howard Byers; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Prayers to the family are appreciated and chose no flowers for the service.

A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00pm Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at New Hope Baptist Church with Bro. Neal Ridling officiating.

Services are entrusted to Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home of Hope.
