Sammie Jean Henry, age 93, of Marion, AR went to her heavenly
home February 4, 2026. She was born at Harts Chapel, AR
September 10, 1932, to the late Sam and Faye Patterson
Callaway.

Sammie loved to cook from cookbooks for her family and worked
on Word searches for years. She enjoyed sitting on the front
porch watching the birds and squirrels. Sammie was a member of
the First Baptist Church in Marion.

She is survived by her son, Roger Fortner and wife, Avis of
Marion, AR; daughter, Jonna Lynn Norton and her husband,
Michael of Jacksonville, FL; one granddaughter Devon Cordell and
husband Chad of Marion, AR; one grandson, Barrett Fortner of
Orlando, FL; one great grandson, Everett Cordell of Marion, AR;
and six nieces.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, February 14,
2026, at South Fork Cemetery in Gurdon, AR with Bro. Stephen
Watson officiating under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral
Home of Gurdon.
