Terry Dwain Turner

Terry Dwain Turner

Terry was born in Hope, AR, December 17, 1951, to A.Z. and Valdean Cobb Turner.  He was a Christian with strong faith and a member of First Baptist Church. He was a 1969 graduate of Hope High School where he played both baseball and basketball.  As a young man he worked in construction; he, his father and brothers owned ZECO Construction Company and built many homes in the Hope area. For a few years Terry was a fireman for the Hope Fire Department, he then went on to get his real estate broker’s license. He worked for Koen Farm’s while owning his own farm.  In later years Terry owned and managed Double D Plumbing Supply before retirement.

Terry loved to fish, hunt, and just be outside.  He dabbled in many skills with a broad knowledge of most everything. He has been a rock to many, a master of advice and tips.

There was so much more to him than just a devoted husband and dad. He was a brother, uncle, grandfather, stand-in paternal figure, friend and handyman; the list goes on. He was the true “Jack of all Trades”.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Dennis Turner and Danny Turner.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years Rita Taylor Turner, daughters Mandy Turner and Staci (Jason) Helms, son Jeff Turner. His surviving grandchildren are Bryce Turner, Haven and John Ryggs Turner, Jaci, Marti, Dalton and Niki plus numerous great-grandchildren.

We would like to thank all family and friends that helped with any and everything while Terry was sick.

The family requests memorials be made to Domestic Violence Prevention of Hope.

A Memorial visitation will be held 10:00am Saturday, March 8, 2025 at the Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home Chapel. A Celebration of Life will follow at 11:00am with Bro Stan Parris, Bro. Daniel Bramlett, and Cole Turner officiating.
