Thomas Henry Spencer, 81 years old departed this life on Friday, April 23, 2021 at Wadley Hospital, Texarkana, Texas. He was born September 8, 1939, the third child of 14 born to Mack and Savannah Bishop Spencer.Thomas accepted Christ at an early age with Mt. Hebron Baptist Church.Thomas graduated from Henry C. Yerger, Class of 1959. He loved to sing and had a beautiful tenor voice. He sang with his 2 brothers and the Johnson brothers, they called themselves, The Traveling Stars.He is preceded in death by both parents; four sisters: Stella, Louise, Willie Mae, and Jessie Spencer; five brothers: Mack JR., Charles, Alvin, James and Luther Gene Spencer.Survivors include one brother, Curtis Spencer, Hope, AR; three sisters, Gertha Peoples of Nashville, AR, Wanda Briggs of Texarkana, TX and Joyce (Clifford) Johnson of Nashville, AR and a host of nieces and nephews and cousins.Graveside service will be 3pm Saturday, May 1 at Cave Hill #2 Cemetery in Hope.
