Virginia Ann Hutchins, 80, of Hope passed away Friday, March 15, 2024, in Texarkana. Virginia was born June 18, 1943, to Denver and Ruth Virginia Morris Hornaday.  She grew up in Hope, AR and after high school she married and moved to Las Vegas, NV.  Virginia spent her adult life there and, in that time, she became a member of the Eastern Star, a mother to three girls, a grandmother to four, Aunt to two, and a great grandmother to seven.  When she retired from 20 years of government service, she returned home to Hope to be close to her brother, sister-in-law, two nephews, great niece, and great nephews.

During her retirement she devoted her time to volunteering in her community through several committees and work for First Baptist Church to make the lives of others better. Virginia is known for her love, kindness, and patience for others among family and friends. She is fiercely loved and will be missed and remembered by all whose lives she has touched.

Virginia spent the last several years fighting a valiant battle with cancer and through it all displayed bravery, determination, and Grace finding comfort in her Faith.

A Celebration of Life will be held 1:00pm Thursday, March 21, 2024, at First Baptist Church with Bro. Daniel Bramlett officiating, under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home.
