Virginia Spell

Virginia Sue Spell, 77, of Prescott, AR passed away December 25, 2022, in Prescott. Virginia was born December 16, 1945 in Laneburg, AR to Harlon and Mary Lucille Hastings Wicker.

Virginia was a hard worker who worked hard to keep a spotless home for her family. She was an avid gardener who worked hard to develop her yard, against the free ranging cattle of Spellville. She enjoyed her flowers, loved to read, loved her dogs, and loved to sing gospel music. Virginia enjoyed making the rounds to the different nursing homes in the area, and singing for the residents, and loved to practice her singing in her spare time at home.

Virginia had the heart of a caretaker, and took such good care of her husband and children. She was close with her brothers and sisters, loved all her grandchildren, and even loved all of her daughters-in-law. Virginia had a great sense of humor, and kept that sense of humor throughout all of the obstacles that came her way in this life. You never knew what she was going to say, and she kept her family members laughing.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Bo Wicker, her sisters Mary Johnson and Bobbi Butcher, her daughter Penny Spell, and a grandson Jessie Spell.

Her living family members include her husband of 45 years Teddy Spell, her three sons Bruce Allen, Chad Allen (Mary Burns-Allen), and TJ Spell (Avain Leiane Spell). This also includes her brothers Jimmy Wicker (Margie), David Wicker (Jeanette) and Harlon Wicker Jr. In addition, her eight grandchildren Aaron Allen, Wade May, Lyndsey Allen, Damon Sisco, Reece Allen, Kyle Spell, Hannah Spell, and Marley Allen, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends she had made throughout the years.

Visitation will be held 1:00pm, Saturday, December 30, 2022 at United Pentecostal Church with Memorial Services following at 2:00pm with Rev. Wilburn Wesson, and Bro. TJ Spell officiating, under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Homes, Prescott.
