Mrs. Vonciel “Sugar” Terry Winemiller, age 91 of Hope, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 23, 2021 surrounded by loved ones at her home. She was born February 7, 1929, to Thad and Lois Terry in Grubbs, Arkansas. She met the love of her life, J.C. Winemiller, and they got married in 1948. She and her late husband were grocery store owners for more than 25 years and also ran several rental properties. She was a member of Garrett Memorial Baptist Church for 57 years, where she was a member of the Builder’s Sunday School Class. Sugar loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed many games of Friday Night dominos. The last 20 years she cherished time spent with four great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, J.C. Winemiller; her brothers, Buck Terry, John Terry and Troy Terry; her sisters, Juanita Maxey, Jean Johnson, and Wanda Faye Terry; and her grandson, Wade Hargis.
Survivors include her son, Mike Winemiller and wife Pat of Rosston, Arkansas; her daughter, Saundra Hargis, and husband Junior of Hope, Arkansas; grandson, Jerod Winemiller of Dallas, Texas; granddaughters Cari Winemiller of Hope, Arkansas and Wendy Cavaneau and husband Nick of Benton, Arkansas. Four great-grandchildren, Drake Hargis of Hope, Arkansas; Win, Emma, and Lily Cavaneau of Benton, Arkansas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday January 24, 2021, at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Hope, Arkansas, with Mr. Danny Lauterbach officiating. In case of inclement weather Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, January 24, 2021 at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest Chapel Funeral Home of Hope, Arkansas.
Social distancing and masks will be required.
