On Thursday, August 20, 1981 a beautiful baby girl named Winnie LaTambra Williams was born in Saint Louis, Missouri to the late Pastor Ivory Williams Sr., and Ruby Lee Lofton. Winnie attended Val Verde Elementary School in Perris, California. Years later, she graduated from Camden Fairview High School in Camden, Arkansas.
Winnie married her high school sweetheart, Corey Burks, and that union was blessed with three beautiful children. They had two daughters and one son; Kierra, LaNiyah and Corey Jr. Winnie enjoyed being a mother and taking care of her children.
She was a shy and very generous person who loved the Lord, life, her family and friends. She was a member of Greater New Calvary Church of God in Christ and enjoyed singing in the choir and doing hair.
Winnie gained her angel wings on August 2, 2020 at Howard Memorial Hospital in Nashville, AR. Her beautiful smile will remain in our hearts forever. Winnie was preceded in death by her father; Pastor Ivory Williams Sr.; her sister; Levounia Williams; her paternal grandparents, Pastor IV and Levounia Williams; and her maternal grandparents, James and Winnie Lofton.
To cherish her memories, she leaves the following loved ones: her mother, Ruby Lee Spencer of Nashville, AR; two daughters, Kierra Burks and La Niyah Burks; and one son, Corey Burks Jr. all of Fordyce, AR; three siblings, Ivorlon LaFedrick Williams, Pastor Ivory Joe (Jessica) Williams Jr., and Chalunda (Kevin) Shields all of Camden, AR; three special aunties, Alzadia Purifoy of Medina, Minnesota, Lillian Daniels of St. Louis, MO and Larlean Mozee of Phoenix, Arizona; a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
