A two-vehicle crash on Highway 67 East near Perrytown Wednesday morning resulted in one woman being transported to the hospital with seemingly minor injuries.
Just before 9 a.m., Sheena Peters was traveling east on Highway 67 just near the intersection wit Harris Dr. when she reportedly attempted a left turn into Dave’s Auto Repair, pulling into the path of an oncoming GMC Jimmy driven by a 17-year-old member of the Prescott Curley Wolves Football team. The Jimmy hit Peters’ Ford Edge in the rear passenger-side door, causing airbags to deploy.
The Hempstead County Sheriff’s Office, Arkansas State Police and Pafford EMS responded to the crash.
Peters reportedly was not seriously injured but was transported by Pafford to Wadley Regional Medical Center to be checked out. The 17-year-old driver of the Jimmy said he was not hurt.
The crash was investigated by Trooper Antonio May with the assistance of the Hempstead County Sheriff’s Office.
