Mrs. Patsy Collier Rhodes, age 92, formerly of Hope, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2022, in Caldwell, Texas. Pat was born September 5, 1929, to Jesse and Lillie Henry Collier, in Saratoga, Arkansas. She was a retired supervisor from the Arkansas State Revenue Department and treasurer for Hope Baseball Association. Pat was a founding member of the Hope Church of Christ.
She was very devoted to her church and family, and will be dearly missed by many. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, A. J. Rhodes, son-in-law David Hurd, brothers Harrell “Bud” Collier and Jesse Aubrey Collier, Jr., sisters Gladys Stone, Lillie Mae Erwin, Kathleen Deloney, a special niece Brenda Deloney Gammill, and grandsons Chris Stroud and Chris Yauch.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter Jennifer Rhodes Hurd of College Station, Texas, her two sons Gary Rhodes (Rita) of Batesville, Arkansas, Jim Rhodes (Jan) of Hope, Arkansas, six grandchildren, Amy Hurd Arredondo (Derek), Sally Hurd Sides (Aaron), Natalie Rhodes Simpson (Bryan), Anthony Rhodes (Sara), Mallory Rhodes Norwood (Neely), Nick Hammond (Brittany); 17 great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
Visitation with the family will be on Thursday, April 14 from 6-8 p.m. at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest Funeral Home.
The funeral will be on Friday, April 15 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hope Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Hope, Arkansas.
