The Prescott Curley Wolves took care of business Friday night against the Hope Bobcats, shutting down their non-conference rivals during the first 3 quarters, and only allowing 2 touchdowns from the Bobcats in the 4th.
The Curley Wolves came out ready to play, scoring their first 7 points within the first 2 minutes and 65 seconds of the game. After a fumble recovery by Cade Poole, the Curley Wolves promptly took possession and scored again on a 15 yard pass to Jeffrey Martin at the 9:21 mark, and an extra point bringing the score to 14-0. A Bobcat snap over head on a punt awarded the Curley Wolves a safety, putting 2 more points on the board at the 7:35 mark. A 34 yard and an 18 yard touchdown from Derriun Thompson and a 46 yard touchdown from Jacobi Nolen ended the first quarter with the Curley Wolves up 37-0.
In the 2nd quarter, the Curley Wolves held the Bobcats at 0, scoring their first touchdown at the 9:21 mark on a 7 yard run from Alex George and Thompson scoring again with 6:31 left in the 2nd. Ending the 1st half with the Curley Wolves up 51-0.
Both teams were scoreless during the 3rd quarter, and the Bobcats were finally able to put some points on the board in the 4th. Bobcat Quarterback, Hunter Hellums, ran for a 16 yard touchdown at the 8:57 mark and Bobcat KeJuan Booker took it to the end zone in the last few seconds, ending the game with a final score of 51-14, Prescott.
The Curley Wolves were scheduled to play Fouke at home this week, but due to a forfeit by the Panthers, they will have an off week. The Hope Bobcats will play at home, facing the DeQueen Leopards for their Homecoming Game.
