Prescott’s Annual Fall Festival Attracts Hundreds

Prescott, Arkansas’ annual Fall Festival was held Saturday, October 12, 2019 in downtown at the Nevada County Courthouse. The festival competitions began around 8am kicking off a Fall time, fun filled day for the Prescott. The 5K run/walk was followed by the first announcement of a Golden Pumpkin Clue, starting the hunt for the $200 cash grand prize. Many other competitions like the Basketball shootout, Fire Cracker Kids Run, Bunco and First Responders Waterball were played and the Fall weather attracted hundreds of Prescott locals and visitors to come out and celebrate a big day for the town.
Everyone enjoyed the food trucks, concession stands, dessert booths, and candy while getting to witness a great performance live, by local band, South Down Main. Businesses from all over set up vending booths at the festival this year selling a wide variety of clothing, jewelry, home decor, arts and crafts, scentsy products, knives, plants and more. Bouncy houses, Train rides, fair rides and games were available for the children to enjoy at the festival in the fall temperatures.
Prescott was a popular town this weekend, kicking off this years fall season festivities. The festival concluded around 4pm that afternoon with the a pie eating contest, Cutest Baby contest, and the announcement of the raffle competition winner. Competition winners and results will be posted at a later time.
