Raymond Dixon

Raymond Dixon was born November 1, 1932 in Columbus, Arkansas to the late Susie Shaw and Will Dixon. He went to school in Macedonia, Arkansas. Raymond soon moved away to Flint, Michigan. After retiring from General Motors, he moved back home in 2008 to be with his family. He was a quiet man. But you would know he was in the house by his favorite word “Shucks”.
On Monday, May 25, 2020, he was given eternal peace. Those awaiting for arrival and to welcome him home are his parents, eight siblings: Nancy Jones, Rudolph Shaw, Luella Johnson, Cora Walker, Gertrude Jones, Mildred Dixon, Marie Dixon and Ora Jackson.
He leaves to cherish memories, one daughter, Shelia Wilson of Flint, Michigan and one sister, Mary L. Muldrow of Fulton, Arkansas; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be 12pm-5pm Friday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 11am Saturday, May 30 at Hicks Memorial Chapel for funerals, 407 South Hazel Street, Hope. Burial will be at Church Hill Cemetery in McNab. Arrangements entrusted to Hicks Funeral Home, Inc.
