Last week Historic Downtown Hope hosted the monthly “4th ThursDAY Slip Away” Sidewalk Sale. Many businesses downtown participated in the event and the Farmer’s Market started backup with the Lion’s Club hosting the hospitality table, for kick off for Fall season. Rae Tay’s served treats and punch alongside their sale racks in the store. Wilson’s Furniture featured many tables full of items on clearance. Inked Threads presented their own Julie Russel, who offered free samples from the Color Street Nails. Hebrews 11:1, a new coffee shop downtown in the national building, hosted a soft opening for the sidewalk sale, introducing their new business to everyone announcing their grand opening will be Monday, October 7, 2019 if you want to check them out. Elm Street Market Place and The Studio stayed open for the event allowing visitors to come in and shop their variety of antiques and other items while also offering refreshments. LaGrone William’s Hardware popped fresh popcorn for guests and displayed a colorful selection of kitchen ware at their front doors for everyone to see. September’s Slip Away had a great turn out and downtown Hope was glad to present all it’s businesses.
