Seventh Grader to compete in national categories

Westin Barnett, another young local cowboy been has been working toward being the best at the things he loves and has excelled. Barnett is a seventh grader from Spring Hill who has qualified in the mini bareback competitions and the rode in Junior National Finals rodeo in Las Vegas in 2017 and 2018. His first year he placed second and the next year landed fifth place, according to Westin’s parents Kyle Barnett, and Mr. and Mrs. Andy Wise.
For 2019 he qualified through the Arkansas Junior High Rodeo Association to compete in Huron, South Dakota in various events.
“ I am thrilled to be there and will be representing Arkansas in five events, including bareback, saddle bronc, goat tying, break away, and chute dogging.”
“ I hope to bring a national title home,” Barnett said.
