Sherwood Woman Injured in Single-Car Crash

A Sherwood woman was injured after losing control of her car outside Blevins Wednesday.

Brenna Johnson, 23, was traveling east on Highway 371 at the intersection with Hempstead 41 at around 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 26 when she lost control of her Toyota Camry and spun around, running off of the highway and crashing into the trees. The car struck the trees on the passenger side and spun around to a stop.

Hempstead County Deputies were first to arrive on scene and checked on Johnson, who was conscious but in pain. Johnson was unable to tell deputies what happened.

Blevins first responders and Pafford EMS checked Johnson and carefully moved her from her car to the ambulance. Pafford transported Johnson to Christus Saint Michael Health System in Texarkana.

Trooper Christina Bussey investigated the crash with the assistance of Deputies Bunn and Rowe. No citations were issued.
