Spirit of Hope Independence Day Celebration Thursday
First United Methodist Church encourages everyone to join then this Independence Day for the 12th Annual “Spirit of Hope” celebration for food, family fun and fireworks this 4th of July. The church is located at 2300 S. Main St.
Leading up to the yearly fireworks show which will take place after sunset, the event offers games, concessions, music and activities for a great family night. There is no cost to attend but donations will be taken in support of Methodist Family Health Services, Hope in Action and “The Call” of Hempstead County. All of which benefit many children, adults and families in our area.
The evening will kick-off with a Children’s Bike Parade at 7 p.m., with activities following. Christian musical group “The Outsiders Band” will provide live entertainment throughout the night. Once the sun is down, sit back on your blankets or in your lawn chairs and enjoy the fireworks show marking the celebrated birthday of the United States.
