Spring Hill Bears Advance to State Golf Tournament

The Spring Hill boy’s golf team played in the 2A-6 District Golf tournament in El Dorado, Arkansas on September 23, 2019. The athletes that competed were Colby Light, Colin Purifoy, Brady Whatley, and Dawson Calhoun. They achieved a second place finish at the tournament, falling short to Parkers Chapel by 6 strokes. Colby Light was 6 strokes behind the leader, Payne Williams from Parkers Chapel, going into the final 4 holes. By the end of the 18th hole, Colby managed to close the gap to end the match tied for 1st. Both players ended as co-medalists for the tournament. The Spring Hill Boys golf team will prepare for the state tournament in Cabot, Arkansas on October 8, 2019.
