Spring Hill FFA Rodeo This Week

The 2019 Spring Hill FFA Rodeo is being held this week, March 7-9, starting at 7:30 p.m. each night at the Hope Fair Park Arena.

Thursday night will be the Open Ranch Rodeo. Friday night will be the first ever Spring Hill Alumni Rodeo. The regular FFA Rodeo for current Spring Hill students will be held Saturday night.

Cowboys and cowgirls will compete in events including Chute Dogging, Pole Bending, Barrel Racing, Speed, Team Roping, Break Away Roping, Wild Cow Milking, Goat Ribbon Pull, Sheep Dressing, Bull Riding and more.

Shop projects made by FFA students will be on display in the front of the coliseum and available to purchase in a silent auction. Items include handmade tables, bench, hay rings, lamp, calf catcher, an Adirondack Chair, horseshoe cross, pallet wood table, bird boxes and more. The Auction will conclude at 8:30 p.m. Saturday night.

Those who signed up must turn in their entry money and signed release forms before 7:00 p.m. on the night of the rodeo to compete. Entry fees are $5 per event. Kids 6 and under can sign up for Mutton Busting at the door Friday or Saturday night. A release will be required but there is no entry fee for the Mutton Busting.

Tickets for the rodeo are $5 each night and will be for sale at the door.
