Summer lunch with learning

Summer feeding program at NS Park

The Rotary Club and members of the Extension Homemakers were   all on deck at the children’s summer feeding program at the Northside Park Thursday morning to help entertain the children. The Children listened to books being read aloud on the subjects of construction on to nutrition and anatomy.
The readers brought out learning materials such as construction hats and Organ Annie, who is a stuffed doll full of all the body’s organs to be taken out and passed around for learning then put neatly back in place. They also handed out backpacks full of food for the children to take home.  After stories and eating the children got to go inside a  remodeled school bus decorated to look like a children’s library.
