SWAAC hosting quilt show in downtown

Viewing starts Sept. 27, runs through Oct. 15

More than 50 quilts, some more than 150 years old, will be in exhibit at the the Southwest Arkansas Arts Council’s (SWAAC) Art Station at 200 E. Division St. in Hope beginning Thursday, September 27.. Quilts on display are from members of the local quilters group and from various residents from Hempstead and Nevada Counties.
George S.Smith, SWAAC executive director, said the exhibit has “wide variety of quilts, Christmas themes to intricate designs to quilts that were obviously made simple to keep people warm.”
The exhibit will be open 10-2 weekdays through the middle of October.
