Task Force Op Results in Marijuana Arrest

An 8th North Task Force and Nevada County Sheriff’s Department saturation operation in and around Prescott Monday yielded an arrest and the confiscation of an undisclosed amount of marijuana and paraphernalia.

According to the Nevada County Sheriff’s Department, during the saturation, Task Force Agent Gary Dorman initiated a stop on a Harley Davidson motorcycle on East 1st St. North when the operator reportedly fled him. Agent Dorman identified the operator as William McKillion, 44, of Prescott from previous contact with him. McKillion allegedly pulled the motorcycle into a driveway and laid it on its side before fleeing on foot.

According to the Sheriff’s Department, other Task Force agents went to McKillion’s residence to look for him since he was reportedly going in that direction when he fled. Agent Dorman remained on scene to inventory the motorcycle and impound it.

A warrant was obtained for McKillion’s residence and conducted a search. McKillion was not located at the residence but agents reportedly located and confiscated an undisclosed amount of what they identified as marijuana and items consistent with the distribution of it.

A warrant was obtained for McKillion for operation of an unsafe vehicle, fleeing, reckless driving, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a schedule VI controlled substance with purpose to deliver.

According to a Task Force member, McKillion turned himself in at the Nevada County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday, October 23.
