Teen Walks Away from Rollover
A 17-year-old escaped serious injury when she lost control of her car Saturday and rolled it multiple times.
The juvenile, from Arkadelphia, was traveling east in the 1100 block Highway 73 West at about 8 a.m. Saturday when she lost control in a curve during damp conditions. Her Dodge Stratus skid across the oncoming lane and off the north side of the highway, struck a driveway and and began overturning before finally coming to a stop upright in the front yard of a residence. The 17-year-old was able to get out of her car and walk to the house for help.
The Arkansas State Police, Hempstead County Sheriff’s Office, Cross Roads Fire Department and Pafford EMS all responded to the scene. The teen was checked out by Pafford but declined transport by ambulance and instead was transported by a family member to be checked out at a hospital.
Trooper Christina Bussey investigated the crash.
