Two Teens Killed, One Injured in Tragic I-30 Crash

A downed tree in the interstate is reported to be the cause of a crash that claimed the lives of two Prescott teenagers and injured a third early Sunday morning.

According to the Arkansas State Police, Lenell M. Johnson, 19, Olivia S. Williams, 18, and Adrianna S. Giles, 18, all from Prescott, were traveling west on I-30 near the 48 mile marker at around 1:45 a.m. when Johnson, who was driving, struck a tree that was laying across the lane. The Chrysler 200 the girls were traveling in then went out of control and struck the rear of a Kenworth semi that was parked on the shoulder of the interstate.

Giles was transported to St. Vincent in Hot Springs. Johnson and Williams were both killed in the crash.

The crash is being investigated by Trooper Antonio May of the Arkansas State Police.
