UAHT Foundation to host Beads, Bags, and Bangles on Feb. 28

The University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana will hold the 13th Annual Beads, Bags, and Bangles Kids’ College fundraiser on Thursday, February 28, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at The Venue at Twelve Oaks. The Venue at Twelve Oaks is located at 4177 Highway 29 North, Blevins, AR, just six miles north of Hope.
The theme of this year’s event is “Big Hats and Bow Ties.” Featured this year will be southern fare, mint juleps, horse racing, live music, and shopping. Wear your best big hat or your most charming bow tie.
Proceeds raised at the 13th Annual BBB event will be used for scholarships and supplies to benefit the 2019 Kids’ College and Camp Save-A-Life programs. These programs are designed for students who will be in first through eighth grade. The 2018 programs served over 250 children from Hope, Texarkana, and the surrounding communities. A portion of the funds will also benefit UAHT’s Camp Save-A-Life program which serves approximately 50 students in seventh and eighth grade on the Hope and Texarkana campuses.
