VFA Benefit for Smith Family to Help Recover from Fire

Nina Smith was home alone on the afternoon of October 9 when fire broke out in the home she and her husband William shared on Highway 29 North. Nina escaped without injury but the couple’s home and belongings were a complete loss.

The Volunteer Firefighters Association is hosting Saturday evening to raise money for William and Nina Smith who lost their home to a fire on October 9 this year.

The night includes live music by Nighthawk Band, burger and hot dog plates and a benefit auction. The meals will include baked beans, chips, cookies and a drink at the cost off a donation. To-go plates are available for those who can’t stick around for the music and auction.

The fundraiser will be from 4-8 p.m. on Saturday, November 23 at the Hope Fair Park Coliseum
