Voter Registration Seminar Held at Hempstead Hall

The Community of Champions Advocacy Group held an event at Hempstead Hall on Thursday. The group was on hand to assist individuals with voter registration and voting anxiety. Leaders of the group handed out registration applications and explained the voting process to everyone present. Ballot machines were also set up for attendees to practice and familiarize themselves with the process.

A few Hempstead County officials were on hand sharing advice on the voting process. County Clerk, Karen Smith discussed how to register to vote; where to register, what paperwork to fill out and the rules and regulations of the registration process.

State Representative, Danny Watson was also on scene to encourage people to vote and explain the importance of exercising that right.
