Hope Public Schools employees are, again, afforded an opportunity to stay abreast of their heart healthy needs through the Wadley Scan initiative of Wadley Regional Medical Center.
Hope Schools District Nurse Renee Sells said the Feb. 5-12 program is part of the “Heart Healthy Month” observance of the HPS, which will also offer the “You and Yours” screening for employees and one family member.
“This compliments our staff wellness for Hope Public Schools,” Sells said. “The AngioScreen Mobile Unity (Wadley Scan) comes to each campus to screen HPS employees for stroke and heart attack.”
Typically, the service costs $39.95, but the February initiative for HPS will be reduced to $25 each, she said.
“This must be paid in advance so appointments can be scheduled,” Sells said. “You may pay by cash or check. If paying by check, it will not be deposited until March 15, 2019.”
She said the first 12 participants on each campus will also be eligible for a $20 gift certificate drawing on each campus for lunch or dinner for two at Tailgater’s of Hope.
Wadley Scan screenings payment contacts and schedulers will be available for the following schedule:
Feb. 5, Clinton Primary School (Amber Butler, Glenda Newton, RN); Feb. 7, Yerger Middle School (Tequilla Marshall, Marcia Widel, RN); Feb. 8, Beryl Henry Elementary School (Linda Rowe, Geri Maxfield, LPN); Feb. 11, Hope High School (Rosalyn Davis, Renee Sells, RN); Feb. 12, Hope Academy of Public Service and HPS Administration (Lisa Vaughn, Eddrick Lard, RN)
All screenings must be paid in advance. Receipt for payment will be required when scheduling an appointment. Sells said appointments are made on a “first come, first serve” basis.
