Youth in the Park

The Hope Parks and Recreation is hosting a “Youth In The Park” program this Summer.

According to Parks & Recreation Assistant Director Summer Powell the program is averaging over 75 kids each Tuesday & Thursday. Each week Powell implants a verity of different activities either indoors or outdoors.

This week the kids enjoyed painting, making bead/necklaces, bead designs on plates and making sports items. The event Tuesday morning was held at the Fair Park Community Center.

Powell has be assisted this Summer by Tyler Shelton, a college intern from Henderson State University. Summer Powell can be reached at the Hope Parks & Recreation Office in the Community Center or at 870-777-7500.
