Early Thursday afternoon Hope Central Dispatch was notified of an accident in front of the Sonic Drive-In in Hope. Upon the officers arrival, they observed a 2008 Dodge Charger and a 2014 Buick Encore facing south at the entrance of Sonic.

According to preliminary information, the 2008 Dodge was traveling South on Hervey Street, as the Buick was traveling North on Hervey Street. Witnesses on scene advised officers that the Buick was attempting to turn into the Sonic Drive-In entrance into oncoming South bound traffic and was then struck by the South bound Dodge.

Occupants of both vehicles were examined by Pafford EMS and no injuries have been reported at this time. The accident is being investigated by HPD Officer Weaver. The Hope Fire Department was also on the scene as a safety precaution.
