Homecoming Queen Kadiya Curry said she was excited about the coffee, as well as the numerous events slated for Homecoming Week. Nevada High School Principal Carol Foster said she and the staff shared in that excitement. “Events like these are a good way to build school/community relationships, and during Homecoming Week our students on the Court are great representatives for building those relationships,” Foster said.
The royal treatment wasn’t given by just the Nevada County Homecoming Court. A few other queens, who have been making the rounds lately at Coffees and other community events, were on the scene as well. Miss Nevada County Melilina McRoy and Petite Miss Nevada County Kalli Lewis joined the rest of the aristocracy in mingling with Coffee participants.
Other events slated for next week are a pep rally on Thursday and the Coronation Ceremony at 5:00 pm on Thursday, followed by games against Morrilton.
