Arkansas Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission's MLK Day Programs Canceled Due to Severe Weather
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, January 15, 2024 - The Arkansas Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission regrets to inform attendees, volunteers, participants, visitors, and guests that due to the severe weather conditions forecasted for the King Holiday, including freezing temperatures, power outages, and dangerous road conditions with sleet and black ice, the following MLK day programs have been cancelled:
  • The MLK Hensley-Woodson Community Cleanup
  • MLK Food Giveaway
  • Unity Celebration and MLK Birthday Bash and Fireworks Extravaganza
  • MLK Watch Party in partnership with Fox 16

The safety of all Arkansans is our utmost priority, and these conditions make it impossible for citizens to travel safely to these MLK events.
