HOPE – The Hope Bobcats have advanced in Conference 7-4A tournament play with a 53-40 win over Malvern here Tuesday night.
The varsity Bobcats squad will advance to play Fountain Lake on Thursday at 6 p.m., according to Hope Athletics Director Phillip Turner.
“The top four teams left in the district tournament are playing for seeding for the regional tournament and the district championship,” Turner said. “Those top four teams are Hope, Fountain Lake, Nashville and Arkadelphia.”
Turner said he has 100 game vouchers available for the Fountain Lake game.
“I will be available at the high school from 9 a.m. until 12 noon Thursday for a voucher,” he said. “Regional and state tickets will have to be bought online.”
Tickets for those games must be purchased through the GoFan application online, according to information from the Arkansas Activities Association.
“Each team on the bracket will be issued a private link for half of the COVID-19 capacity,” AAA representative Jennifer Mays said. “All unsold tickets by game will go on sale to the public around 3 p.m. the day before the game and can be purchased here: https://gofan.co/app/school/AAA and as the scores come in, I will update the bracket.”
Purchase of tickets via GoFan must be made via a computer or device with email capability where tickets will be delivered electronically.
“This event is a mobile entry event; tickets must be presented on a smart phone for entry,” Mays said. “Printed tickets will not be accepted.”
Admission will be charged for ages five and up and only current or lifetime AAA passes will be accepted until the venue reaches COVID-19 capacity in actual attendance or pre-sold tickets, she said.
“No conference/district passes should be accepted,” Mays said. “All tickets will need to be redeemed before the patron can enter. The patron can either redeem the ticket in the presence of the ‘ticket collector’ or the ‘ticket collector’ can redeem it.”
Mays emphasized that a correct email address is critical to ticket purchases.
Regional play will be held March 3-6 for Class 4A conferences, and the state tournament is set for March 9-13 for Class 4A. State finals for all classifications are March 18-20.
