Chamber Submits Entry to the HGTV Hometown Takeover Contest

February 7, 2020, Hope, AR

The Hope-Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce will enter the HGTV Hometown Takeover Contest as they submit their contest application tomorrow.

Contest headline reads:

HGTV COULD COME TO YOUR TOWN!

HGTV is ready for its BIGGEST Renovation Project EVER
– a takeover to makeover an ENTIRE town

Is it yours? If it is, Ben and Erin Napier of the hit series Home Town will hit the road for their upcoming series Home Town Takeover to help you and your community revitalize the place you call home.

Beckie Moore, chamber director stated, “This contest had many moving parts and a great number of community partners!  We certainly appreciate the support from the City of Hope, the Tourism Commission, Rodney Steele, photographer, Matt Massanelli, videographer, Dillan Kelsey with SWARK.Today, & Dana Cox and her art students at Clinton Primary School.  We also appreciate the following groups who took part in “cheering” for Hometown Hope and/or scrolling messages on electronic signs: ROC, CPS Students, Hempstead County Library, HAPS, Downtown Merchants, Heather Doucet State Farm Insurance, First Baptist Church & The First National Bank of Tom Bean. For all who took part in the video, we thank you. Jim Hunter, Bob Erwin, & Colby Powell, thank you for giving your time to this contest.”

The chamber will keep the community informed as to the outcome of the contest.
