HOPE – Open House at Clinton Primary School will take a two-pronged approach this year prior to the return to classes in the Hope Public Schools on Aug. 24.
CPS Principal Ashlea Stewart said Aug. 11-12 will be used to provide appointments for parents and students of Kindergarten and students new to the district in 20-minute increments arranged by classroom teachers.
Appointments on Aug. 11 will be conducted between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. and appointments on Aug. 12 will be set between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Stewart said.
She said parents should observe the following protocol:
--Arrive 15 minutes early to complete forms. CPS Handbook forms will be available at the campus office prior to Aug. 11.
--Verification form must be completed prior to entering the building for appointment.
--Face masks will be required of all persons entering the building.
--Parents to be met in middle parking lot front of building; fill out information form in car; parent and student take form to covered structure.
--One parent/one child allowed to enter the building per appointment.
--COVID-19 screening required of each parent and child; availability for appointment will be relayed to teacher.
--Parent/child directed to entrance, follow instructions to classroom for appointment, completion of forms.
--Kindergarten students not previously academically screened will be escorted to library for screening.
--Parent/student exit building through bus line door.
Grades 1-4
“First through fourth grade teachers will contact all parents and students on their roster via phone,” Stewart said.
Critical information which will be obtained during contact telephone calls include after school bus destination, emergency contact information, bus assignments and bus riding rules. Zoom meetings will be available upon request.
