HOPE – Hope Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Bobby Hart made a final call for nominations to the 2020 Hope Educator Hall of Fame class today.
Dr. Hart said nominations from the community, professional education organizations, and education-related organizations will be accepted for the new class of inductees through June 1.
“We currently have 17 nominees, and we will announce this year’s inductees soon,” he said.
Nominations are received for review by a committee selected through the office of the superintendent year-round, Hart said.
“The list remains the same, and is added to each year as new inductees are named from it,” he said.
Eligibility requirements for nominees include:
--Nominee should be retired from the field of public education in the Hope Public Schools.
--Nominee should have a minimum of 10 years of active service as an HPSD educator, administrator, or support professional.
--Posthumous nominations will be accepted.
Nominations should include the name of the nominee and a brief statement why the nominee should be inducted into the Educator Hall of Fame.
Nomination letters should be delivered to the HPSD Administration Building, 117 E. Second St., in Hope, by June 1.
Selected honorees will be recognized in ceremonies during the Fall, 2020, semester, pending the resolution of COVID-19 restrictions, and in compliance with state and federal guidance.
