Reverend Dr. John J. Noggle started the coffee off with prayer. He shared with SWARK.Today some of his vision for the church and the townsfolk. "Our main goal is outreach missionary. We want to give people a hand up, not a hand out. We partnered with the chamber of commerce so that we can help our community become all that God has created it to be. Part of that is working with our town leaders so people can get to know each other, allow us to partner up so we can make the best for not just Prescott but, Nevada County," Noggle said.
Noggle went on to talk about church services and projects in the works for the community, saying "Our services times here is Sunday at 11 am. Then we have youth at 5 pm. Bible Study is Monday or Tuesday at noon, pending other engagements, but always one of those days. We're also partnering with Rightnow Media, which is like a Netflix for Christians, and all we need is your contact information to send you an invite. It is completely free. We're opening ourselves up to the world, but that starts right here with community."
Executive Director of The Prescott Nevada County Chamber of Commerce, Jamie Hillery was present and said, "I am so thankful for the wonderful turnout this morning and appreciative to The First United Methodist Church for opening their doors for the coffee."
