Garrett Memorial Christian School hosts Wednesday's Hope-Hempstead County Chamber Coffee
Wednesday’s Hope-Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce Coffee took place in the gym of Garrett Memorial Christian School, which hosted the event.

Among the items on offer to attendees were apples and caramel, bagels with cream cheese, donuts from Tasty Donuts, pigs in a blanket, an assortment of bundt cakes, spinach mini-quiches and a cold cut platter. A choice of coffee, orange juice and apple juice was also available. Students from the school acted as servers.

Starting tomorrow and extending through May 3rd, GMCS will be collecting change for the benefit of local agency The Call, which benefits foster families here. The winning class would choose either an ice cream or pizza party.

Also upcoming is a Donna Clark-directed dinner theater performance of Who Dun Stole the Bride? It will start at 6:00 p.m. May 3rd. Tickets are available

Last May the private Christian school graduated 11 students who piled up over $400,000 in scholarship money for college or trade school.
