Sanders, the daughter of Hope native and former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, took over an hour to slow down and interact with the ROC individuals at ROC Enterprises.

Her visit commenced with a meeting with the ROC contingent, including CEO Judy Watson, tour guides Michelle Witherspoon, and Dorene Mosier, inside the Melon Patch restaurant. There, she and various members of her entourage became familiar with the restaurant's operations, including its unique "fill-out-your-own" menus. Following this, the tour group visited members of the ROC Contract Work team as they filled orders for Firestone.

The last stop was a visit to the Recycling Center, where she was introduced to "Big Bird" the baler. She gained a true inside look at the processes involving the various bales and learned how nothing goes to waste.

Her final visit was spending time with individuals making valentines inside the main building. Sanders talked with many clients, posed for pictures, and gave heartwarming hugs.

Everyone was impressed with Sanders and appreciative of her and her staff taking time out of a busy schedule to hear from our corner of Hope.
