Hempstead County Sheriff's Office celebrates Juneteenth

PRESS RELEASE

On Saturday June 17, Hempstead County Sheriff James Singleton and several deputies and their wives participated in the Juneteenth celebration parade and activities at the Northside Park. The sheriff's office brought Hot Dogs, chips, candy, popsicles, and water for all to have. The sheriff's office also brought a Jump house, several games and glow in the dark necklaces, bracelets and other trinkets to give away to kids attending the celebration.

A special thanks to Christi Braddock, Emily Crane, Nancy Singleton, and Lacey Jo Singleton who made and passed out hand made glow-in-the-dark rings, bracelets, necklaces, and other things brought by the Sheriff's Office for the kids attending. And thanks to Captain Justin Crane, Lt. Michael Braddock, and Deputy Jacob Wayne for helping set up the command center and participate in the games with the kids.

We were proud that we were asked to participate and looking forward to next year.

Sheriff James Singleton
