Hope-Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce Announces 2024 Annual Meeting & Banquet Keynote Speaker, Larry Bell Jr.
Tuesday, February 27, 2024 The Hope-Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce their Keynote Speaker for the Annual Meeting & Banquet on April 15, 2024, at Hempstead Hall. Christy Burns, Chamber Executive Director stated, “We are excited to announce Mr. Larry Bell Jr. as our 2024 Annual Meeting & Banquet Keynote Speaker.  I had the pleasure of hearing Mr. Bell speak at Destination Downtown in 2023 in Monroe, LA.  He captivated me from beginning to end and I couldn’t wait to invite him to Hope.” Mr. Bell attended Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA.  He moved to Monroe, LA by way of New Orleans due to Hurricane Katrina almost 20 years ago.  Mr. Bell is a hardworking family man with four children and husband to wife, Nia.  The Bells have proudly made Monroe their home for over 18 years, quickly becoming an intrinsic part of the community.   Mr. Bell is the principal agent and owner of Bell Insurance Group & Associates.  He was a member and graduate of the Louisiana Small Business Development Center Roundtable.  Larry has received several distinguished awards including his most recent accolades-Best of the ArkLaMiss, Best Insurance Agent Award, the Monroe Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Outstanding Speaker Award, and honors from numerous speaking engagements and performances including the City of Monroe’s 2021, 2022, and 2023 State of the City which has been viewed in the Louisiana’s Governor’s Office, Harvard University and even the White House.  
Being a public speaker and youth mentor, Larry has inspired, assisted, and empowered many including new insurance professionals and youth.  Mr. Bell shares the art of spoken word poetry at local events.  Larry has a true passion for creativity, information, as well as transformation in communities far and near.  This passion is reflected in his work and outreach efforts.  Mr. Bell stated, “I am pleased and honored to be invited to share my words of inspiration at the Hope-Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting & Banquet.” The Chamber is still accepting sponsorships, ticket reservations, award nominations, catering bids and auction items for this year’s annual meeting and banquet so don’t miss out!  We can’t wait to see everyone one there and welcome Mr. Bell to Hope!
