The Hope-Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the upcoming Watermelon Festival Parade that will be held Monday, August 8th, 2022 at 6:00pm.
Chamber Executive Director Christy Burns stated, “We are gearing up for a great parade again this year. We feel like this is a wonderful event to kick off Festival Week. We really hope to see multiple participants and attendees this year. Also, we will be giving awards for the Most Festive Floats.” Burns asked for any 2021 Watermelon Festival Pageant winners to contact the Chamber, they are asked to be Grand Marshalls in this year’s parade. All 2022 Watermelon Festival Pageant Contestants are strongly encouraged to participate in the festival parade. “Let’s Rock this Parade to the Rind”, Burns says.
