The Piranhas only brought six swimmers to the meet, compared to first place team Monticello Marlins' nearly 40 racers.

Five-year-old Khloe Rodgers, the youngest female of all 11 teams in attendance, won first place in both her races in the 6 and under 25 meter backstroke and the 6 and under 25 meter freestyle with times of 50.14 and 51.21 respectively.

12-year-old Zoie Cox and 13-year-old Sadie Knoll both placed first in the 50 meter breaststroke, since they raced in different age divisions. Cox finished with a time of 51.11 while Knoll finished with a time of 47.52, a personal best by 2.16 seconds.

Knoll also scored the most points out of everyone on the team with 30 points in total thanks to her getting 2nd place in all three of her other events (the 50 meter backstroke, the 100 meter freestyle, and the 50 meter freestyle). Knoll also improved her time in all four of her events, shaving off of nearly 24 seconds in total.

12-year-old Ben Stewart, the only Hope male to attend, also had a very successful meet with placing in the top three in all four of his events and shaving off a total of over 25 seconds between all four.

13-year-old Addison McEuen also had a successful meet with shaving off 3.16 seconds in her 50 meter backstroke. 8-year-old Sophie Stewart was also able to place top 3 in both her 8 and under 25 meter butterfly and her 8 and under 25 breaststroke.

The Hope Piranhas will race again next Saturday, June 12, in Texarkana.
