On Saturday, May 18th, 2024 at 4:55am, officers with the Hope Police Department arrested  Russell David Dudley, 18 of Texarkana, TX, in the 3800 block of Highway 278 West for an  incident that occurred in the 1400 block of North Hervey Street. Mr. Dudley was charged with  Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm from a Vehicle, Discharging a Firearm in the City Limits,  Fleeing, Possession of Firearm by Certain Persons and Driving While Intoxicated. Mr. Dudley  was held at the Hempstead County Detention Facility awaiting a first court appearance.  

On Sunday, May 19th, 2024 at 5:27pm, officers with the Hope Police Department arrested Cesar  Gomez, 29 of Hope, AR in the 200 block of North Washington Street. Mr. Gomez was charged  with Aggravated Assault on a Family/Household Member and held at the Hempstead County  Detention Facility awaiting a first court appearance.
