Phillip Ward, 46, of Hope, AR
Mr. David Ward was arrested and charged with possession of controlled substance methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mr. Phillip Ward was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and refusal to submit to BAC.
On March 1, 2022 at approximately 9:49pm, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested David Ward, 51, of Texarkana, TX. He was charged with possession of controlled substance methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. The arrest occurred in the 200 block of South Pine Street in Hope, AR. Ward was taken to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.

Steven Backenstow, 29, of Hot Springs, AR
Mr. Hart and Mr. Backenstow were arrested and charged each with a count of forgery in the 1st degree.
On March 2, 2022 at approximately 12:30pm, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Khiry Hart, 31, of Gurdon, AR and Steven Backenstow, 29, of Hot Springs, AR. Mr. Hart and Mr. Backenstow were each charged with one count of forgery in the 1st degree. The arrest occurred in the on the entrance ramp to Interstate 30 in Hope, AR. Hart and Backenstow was taken to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.

Mr. Garcia was arrested and charged with possession of controlled substance methamphetamine, forgery in the 1st degree, possession of drug paraphernalia, no signal lamps, 3 counts of delivery of methamphetamine, and served a foreign warrant service. Ms. Chapman was arrested and charged possession of controlled substance marijuana.
On March 3, 2022 at approximately 1:30am, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Juan Garcia, 31, of Hope, AR. He was charged with possession of controlled substance methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, forgery in the 1st degree, no signal lamps, 3 counts of delivery of methamphetamine, and served a foreign warrant service. The arrest occurred in the 500 block of South Spruce Street in Hope, AR. Garcia was taken to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.
