From the Hope Police Department:

On January 27, 2022 at approximately 12:45am, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Rodney Sockwell, 55, of Prescott, AR. He was charged with robbery, battery in the 2nd degree, false imprisonment in the 2nd degree, interference with emergency communications in the 1st degree and engaging in violent criminal group activity. The arrest occurred in the 300 block of South Washington Street in Hope, AR. Sockwell was taken to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.

Johnathan Loe, 21, of Hope, AR

Mr. Loe was arrested and charged with assault on family member or house hold member in the 3rd degree.

January 27, 2022

5:00pm in the 900 block of E. Hickory

Dartelli Turner, 36, of Hope, AR

Mr. Turner was arrested and charged with public intoxication. 

12:45am in the 300 block of S. Washington

Mr. Rodney Sockwell was arrested and charged with robbery, battery in the 2nd degree, false imprisonment in the 2nd degree, interference with emergency communications in the 1st degree, and engaging in violent criminal group activity.

10:56pm in the 600 block of S. Edgewood

Amber Hurd, 32, of Prescott, AR

Ms. Hurd was arrested and charged with possession instrument of crime, drinking on Hwy, and served a failure to comply warrant. 

January 29, 2022

2:40am in the 1400 block of N. Hervey

Diego Alvarez, 19, of DeKalb, TX

Mr. Alvarez was arrested and charged with public intoxication, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

January 30, 2022

5:47pm in the 500 block of N. Walker

Lamario Bishop, 39, of Hope, AR

Mr. Bishop was arrested and charged with public intoxication and criminal trespass.
