Jr. Lady Saints Win 30-17, Jr Saints Win 36-19
Hope- The Junior Lady Saints of Garrett Memorial Christian School continue to impress, especially on the defensive end of the floor as they held Valley Christian scoreless after the opening quarter. The Lady Saints would cruise to a 30-17 victory. 

Abby Mendoza and Heaven Garcia forced a combined 14 turnovers, and Laila Santifer also played great on defense with 6 steals. Garrett also displayed excellent rebounding, as they continue to limit second chance opportunities for opposing teams.  

Preslee Peck led the Lady Saints with 16 points and 7 rebounds, Peck also had multiple blocked shots. Abby Mendoza scored 9 points and 4 rebounds, Brailyn Almand had 5 points and 8 rebounds. Laila Santifer had 8 rebounds and 5 assists, and Heaven Garcia led the Lady Saints with 9 rebounds and added 5 assists. 

The Junior Lady Saints are set for a matchup with Columbia Christian on Tuesday at home. Tip-off is set for 4:30. 

The GMCS Junior Saints boys team, jumped out to a great start as they put the game away early, and finished strong with a 17-point victory, 36-19. 

Hooks Brown posted a double-double as he scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, Brown also dished out 4 assists. Brandy Edwards scored 7 points, had 5 assists, and grabbed 2 boards. Ben Martin finished the game with 7 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists. Kason Flowers led the Saints with 11 rebounds and added a basket for 2 points. Will Lauterbach and Jesse Maxwell each had 2 points and 6 rebounds. 

The Jr. Saints are back in action on Jan. 25 when they head to Stephens Christian.
